Chubby Santa & His Christmas Trees

Yes! On this yet another cloudy day in Singapore, I’ve managed to get my fingers dirty. Since Christmas is coming soon, I shall start with some festive nail designs.

CNC Nail Art 11A - A Chubby Santas

CNC Nail Art 11 - A Chubby Santas

I’ve gotten the above design from a YouTube video. They’ve applied the design on the index finger but I’ve used my thumb and thus mine is a Chubby Santa Claus…lol…

The quality of my white nail polish is not very good + my unpolished skill in nail arts, I did not manage to have a nice & smooth surface for white colour.

Next, we’ll have the Christmas trees…

2012-12-18 13.15.01

I started sketching some Christmas trees on the envelope of my phone bill when I decided to do some tree designs.

CNC Nail Art 12 - Christmas TreesTwo very NOOB designs by yours truly

The first one is an outdoor Christmas tree and the white area at the bottom is..ah…hem…the snow…*gulp*…yes, the snow.  The second one is an indoor Christmas tree.

I am pretty sure you all would not know they are actually Christmas trees if I’ve not describe them.

For the first design, I’ve used an acrylic star decor for the star above the tree and some golden micro beads to highlight the layers of the tree.

For the second design, I’ve used 2 cherry fimo slice as the mistletoe and the green rhinestones to outline the tree.

Last but not least, here’s an animation video of two penguins decorating their Christmas tree.

Hope you all enjoy reading this post.

Till then,

Cheers & TTFN~

Only In My Dreams

Travelling Alone

Only in my dreams….

Yes…only in my dreams that I can see myself travelling alone.

The only time that I am travelling by myself would be going to school, to work or places which I need to be at for certain non-leisure purpose.

I’ve never even been to a movie alone even though I once tried persuading myself to do so, but failed miserably because I SIMPLY DIDN’T WANT TO….. 😦

So, when I see this photo and I really like the scenery.

What can I do?

Well…I can always comfort myself by putting ‘Yours Truly’ into the picture…and tada…I am already travelling…

Everything is in the mind….

By the way, how’s life for you all lovely souls out there?

I hope everything is fine. 😀

Here are some updates:

The People In Your Life

Giveaway Event Indicator

I wanted to do giveaway events, but I am not sure if anyone will be interested in them so I’ve decided to use a poll as an indication to know when to start a giveaway event.

Check out our side bar and you will see one new poll section – CNC GIVEAWAY EVENT INDICATOR.

We will organize a giveaway event whenever it hits a 100 ‘yes’ vote — when we received our 1st 100 ‘yes’ vote, we will start to organize a giveaway event and when it hits 200, we will organize another and so on.

So, if you, especially our lovely followers, are interested in taking part in our future giveaway events, remember to spare a little of your precious time to take part in our poll.

If you’ve just stumbled upon this humble site of ours, please do take part in our favourite fimo poll as well. Thank you in advance.

Last but not least, the butterfly n dragonfly fimo page is up  and you can check them out under our fimo collection page menu.

Which is Which?

Below is a picture of the nail arts that both my sis and I did when we’ve gotten the nail wheel and the nail art brushes and I’ve almost forgotten that we’ve done these designs:

Are you able to figure who is doing A and who is doing B?

Do make a quick guess by leaving us a comment in this post just for fun sake…okie??

Pleaseeeeee~ Muahkkkkkkk~

Oh, I’ve received another comment from katie1094 telling me that she is playing Minecraft as well…cool!!! Now we’ve another nail art lover who plays this game and I am so happy to know that I am not alone here.

Currently, I am working on ‘My First World’ and I’ve succeeded in creating tunnels under the sea (Yeah~).

The following picture is the interior part of one of my underwater basements and frankly speaking, I don’t really know where I am heading to, so I just have to keep on digging until I hit the surface area…hehe…

Last but not least, may you all enjoy reading this post.

Till then do continue to be with us, okie?

Awww…did you notice the ‘glowing’ effect on the stranger? Because of his ‘mistaken identification’ , he had managed to make my heart glow…well at least for that beautiful moment…lol…

Give me a ‘M’ !

Give me an ‘I’!

Give me an ‘A’!

What does it say?

Missing in Action!

I just took a quick check at my record and my last post was in fact 21st Sept. I am so sorry about the 9 days of M.I.A!

Are you all still with me?

I hope so….*gulp*

You there????

Okay…okay…I will just have to presume you all lovely souls are still with me…

I’ve started this post with an beautiful direction asking encounter on a full moon night and decided to share it with you.

If you’ve read my previous post ‘Inspiring Award‘, I did mention that people are always mistaking me for the mother of my baby sister since we are basically 12 years apart.

I remembered when I was only 13 year-old and she was only 1 year-old, I took her out for a stroll and people kept asking me if she was my baby.

Come on, I was only 13 year-old…sad… 😦

When I was 23 year-old, I was with my baby sister when a young girl came and asked me if I am my baby sis’ mother. Of course, I said no but she just wouldn’t believe me. So I asked her to make a guess about my age and she started her guess with…29 YEARS OLD!!!!!

…WHAT THE….*sigh*… 😦

Now, I am 35 year-old and then came a stranger, not calling me by ‘miss’ or ‘madam’… but ‘little girl’…gosh…though I think he might need to do a routine eye-sight check, I am still H.A.P.P.Y…hehehe~ Little Girl…. 😀

Okay, enough of Little Girl…oh, did I just type Little Girl again?

Noo….I’ve already mentioned enough of Little Girl…

…Oops…I did it again…sorry…

I was busy with re-sorting out our fimo designs, a brain-cells-depleting task, and also our other nail art decor because from the polls result from our ‘What is your combination‘ post, it seems that people would prefer having the combination of fimo and other nail art decor.

With this point in mind, I was evaluating if there will be enough stuff for us to launch if we were to provide our customers with this combination. It was really time consuming but I guess I am about to see some lights in my planning and once everything is ready, we’ll have to organize a give-away event for our blog followers, which I’ve mentioned when we’ve had 200 followers during a few months ago (I am truly apologetic about the delay :().

Currently we are getting 300+ followers (THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! 🙂  MUAHKKKK!!) and hopefully it will hit 500 by the time we finished?? (Praying very hard….)

Here are some of the little updates for today:

  • Fruits Fimo Page updated with 3 mixed fruit designs for medium and thick cut fimo slices
  • A new page dedicated to nail art decor is up and I’ve included some pictures of our nail art decor.
  • I’ve included a sub-category ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’ under the Nail Arts category in which we will place all the nail designs that we’ve chosen to follow so as to improve our nail art skills. I guess this is a good method for practising. Will try to post in this category once I’ve the time to sit down and get my fingers dirty.

Last but not least, do continue to be with us….please…sweeties… 😉

Till then,

When you can’t fight them, join them!

I’ve always wanted my products to have white backgrounds so that they will look more professional (am I superficial to think this way??) however, due to the lack of skills, proper equipment and environment, I’ve spent too much time re-taking photos and re-editing photos so that they will look professional and yet true to their original self.

When I was trying to edit a picture of one silver bangle with white background yesterday, I took so many pictures using my digital camera and even my mobile phone and after several tries, I GAVE UP!! 😦

When you can’t fight them, what do you do?

Join them!

Yes, I gave in and decided to photograph it with a black background and here’s the result:

After finishing editing this photo, it had given me an idea and immediately when I woke up this morning, I proceeded with the retaking of our fimo slices using a non-white background (usually I will place the product on a whiteboard in order to get the white effect from the camera) and this is one of my favourite ones:

With this background, I don’t have to colour dodge too much just to attain a full white background and I can present my fimo slices in their truest form. The rest can be seen in our Fimo Collection Page. Below is another photo which I’ve taken showing the packing of our fimo using the same background:

What do you think?

Awww….I am glad another problem is solved and for the next few days, more photo shooting to do!!

Till then, have a great weekend ahead!

What is your combination?

Minute became hours, hours became days and days became months…this is exactly how time has flown by, so oblivious and yet obvious…

I am tired of the old theme even though I really liked the way how it had presented the pictures, so I’ve changed a new theme for this blog.

Updated another two more slots in our ‘Be with us’ page.

In the meantime, while I am busy with our fashion accessories, I am planning to sell our nail art accessories with a combination of 12 packets in a pack.

Here’s a poll for you to take part in and let me know what is your preferred combination so that I can regroup all my fimo and nail art decor for our online store base on the most preferred combination.

If you are a nail art lover, please do spare some of your precious time and take part in this poll.

Thank you in advance.

Till then, do continue to be with us.
